We don’t collect personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising and nothing is sold or shared. The details are below.
The Bob Skitch app
The Bob Skitch app for iPhone and iPad doesn’t collect, store or share any personal information. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
- On your device. Your reading position, bookmarks, settings and downloaded narration are kept only on your device. Chapters are added to Spotlight search on your device only. All of it is removed when you delete the app.
- Apple Intelligence. The optional Apple Intelligence features, asking questions of the archive and chapter recaps, run entirely on your device. Your questions and the text are never sent to us or anyone else.
- Narration and attachments. When you play or download narration, the audio is fetched from our file storage (Cloudflare R2). Attached documents are fetched from history.skitch.me. Like any web request, these servers see your IP address and the file requested. We don’t use this to identify you.
- Links. Links to other websites open in your browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
This website
history.skitch.me has no accounts or forms, and we don’t set cookies.
- Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami to count visits and see which pages are read. Neither uses cookies or tracks you across other websites, and neither tells us who you are.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare, and its fonts come from Google Fonts. Like any web host, these services process your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
- Email. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Children
Neither the app nor the website collects information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
